Founded in Vancouver, Washington, in 1974, RSV was built on a sense of cooperation and getting the job done right. When Gene and Jocelyn Frederiksen started RSV, they were working on 100 percent government funded projects for federal, state, city and county agencies. When Ron joined the company in 1980, he perceived a huge need in the local business community for a company that would take on responsibility for every phase of a construction project. By 1989, Ron had changed the company from working exclusively in the public sector to working 100 percent on private-sector projects.
The RSV founding philosophy has remained unchanged over the past 30 years — RSV employs the on-site, experienced field people who are pouring the concrete, framing the structures and doing the finish carpentry. Many general contractors act as brokers and only spend a limited amount of time, if any at all, on the job site making sure every aspect of the project runs smoothly. RSV was founded on the basic principle of delivering the best product possible, which means our field employees pay attention to every detail.
"For the last seven years, every time I need more space, my first call is to RSV. For all three of my new buildings, they organized and led the design team, represented my interests with the City of Vancouver, and made it a worry-free "one-stop shopping" project. RSV is RS Medical’s "Rx for success."
